But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.- Isaiah 40:31
This verse keeps running on my head and I know that God is the one reminding me with these words. I really want to know the meaning behind this verse and I want to discover what God wants me to understand not on my own thinking and my own interpretation. So feel free to join me in my prayer.
"Father God, our dear Son Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit..we praise You for all the things that you've done for all of us. Thank You for being so faithful and loving that You sarificed Your Son to redeeem us to make us anew because You have a greater plan and Your works are amazing. Thank You for touching our hearts in Your own special way so that we may be able to discover the LOVE that you freely offered for us, a LOVE that is endless, no boundaries, no limits, no expectations, unconditional, faithful and indescribable. For everything that You've done I just want to say sincerely from my heart, Thank You for loving me...Nothing else matters and I want to give back that love to You but I know I can only do it by Your grace and by the faith that I have in You. Increase my faith Lord, help me to love just like you, help me to give without expecting anything in return and help me to live according to Your word, Your love, and Your mercy. Teach me and lead me to the path aligned to You..I also ask for forgiveness for the things that breaks your heart.Fill me with your presence and let my life be a testimony that truly You are alive and in control of my life. Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD. (Psalm 15:6)In Jesus Name I pray and all those who have been blessed and experienced the love of God will say Amen.
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.. - Isaiah 40:31
Allow me to see this verse in the light of God. Let's start with this line, "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength." To whom God will give the strength? To those who are just waiting?
There are so many people who are waiting. Some are waiting to have a child, some are waiting to find their lifetime partner, some are waiting to have a breakthrough while some are just waiting that life turns out to be the way they want to be. In the season of waiting, it is definitely never easy but as God said, "THEY" that WAIT UPON the LORD shall RENEW their STRENGTH.
Waiting without God is really never easy but when we wait upon the Lord, God will give us the strength to carry on life's battle when we felt like giving up during the time of waiting. We have an ENCOURAGER, a COUNSELOR, a FRIEND, a FATHER that we can count on and when we discover what God has done for us, we will get that strength that no man can ever give. There are additional bonuses, not only God will renew the strength for those who wait upon the Lord but God will provide wings as eagles. When life gets tough we often felt discouraged but God is able to lift us up so that we can fly just like the eagles that can soar very high. Im glad that God did not say they shall mount up with wings as chicken. If that would be the case, then we wont aspire to fly because we know that we will not be able to fly high just like how chicken normally do. Unlike chicken, eagles love to fly, explore the world and never get tired of flying.
We may find ourselves tired waiting but we have something to hold on to, His promises will never fail. God will renew the strength of those who are waiting upon Him, no matter what your situation, no matter what circumstances, God will keep His promise. God's love is more than enough to complete us,
1 Corinthians 2:9 says, However, as it is written: "What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived" -- the things God has prepared for those who love him. We may not know what our future holds but be assured that God is preparing and orchestrating something beautiful for those who love Him.God gave us the gift of time for a purpose. Maybe you've been asking & praying to God that things will change in your life. Maybe you felt helpless, with no one to turn to or you thought the no one can understand your situation. But know that God is in control. I just realized that God will not give us something without a purpose. Just like the gift of time. He gave us the time of waiting to teach us and take it as an opportunity to see God's amazing power, love and goodness in our life. Maybe God use those times of waiting for Him to know our deepest desires, our dreams, our plans and more importantly He wants to know if He is part of the plans that we have. It's a test of our faith and devotion to God. When we felt that no one can help us, there are so many things that can quickly grab our attenttion and change our focus to God. But be of good courage God is in our midst. My desire is that God will reveal His plans for you whatever you might be praying for a long time. Remember and be assured that your future is in God's hands. Enjoy the SEASON of WAITING!
