Living to Please God . . .

Do you ever have that time when you want to say something about a current event that affects the world but when you started to talk, you became powerless then suddenly think, would my voice matter? If I get the courage to say what I want to say and how I view the world, I got to a point when I ask myself, would it really matter? If I engage on something that would benefit others, would anybody care? If I put myself in a certain project that fulfills something of value, would I gain respect? Or if I just sit in the couch and watch TV for hours, would there be anything to feel guilty about? Well, who would dare to care, I’m not a celebrity, and I’m neither in a position nor someone spectacular for others to care about. I’m just an ordinary young person who joins the crowd. My voice won’t matter and maybe when I die, it will not affect the world. All of a sudden, these words, “when I die, it will not affect the world”, made me think and kept myself awake. I go back to what I just wrote and then I realized that I have a wrong perception of myself. It has to stop . . . It has to change. . .

Then I meditate and asked God these questions,

Are you happy with the way I live my life?

Would it matter to You if I waste my time and energy to unproductive things?

Would You care if I cried on things that matter to me whereas other people wouldn’t care about?

Why did You created me?

What’s my purpose?

A moment of silence . . .

I didn’t hear any voice but when I looked back on my past and remember how I live, I felt ashamed and sad because it never pleases me and maybe just maybe God was not also pleased with the way I live my life. Suddenly as I meditate and hide myself in God’s presence, things are getting clearer. I didn’t get the answer but I receive a lot of questions.

It’s like God is asking me,

My beloved child,

Do you honestly believe that I don’t care about what you are doing in your life?

Do you think that I didn’t saw everything? Your dark secrets, your dreams that you’re scared to tell about, your plans that were still unfulfilled and ALL other things that makes you happy and makes you sad. My precious child, your heart is far away from me. You keep on sharing that I am your God who can do the impossible but in your heart you have many doubts, fears and all kinds of excuses that stops you from doing what I already planned for you to do.

You want to soar like eagles but you never believe and take that step of faith to fly? I made it known to you that, “In this world you will have trouble but be of good cheer I have overcome the world’’. Is it not enough for you to believe in your heart and have your life depends on Me? Am I not big enough for you to do something great not because you are powerful for you are not? Apart from Me, you can do nothing. So why are you trying to do it on your own? I AM here and as I promised to you when you make your covenant with Me that I will be with you even to the end of the age. What do you have that I did not give? Everything that you possessed, I allowed it for you to have all of them for Me to show the love that I have for you. No matter how ungrateful and how unfaithful you are. I am still faithful because I am God. Nothing can separate you from my love and I will never destroy the work of your hands if you abide in Me, I will abide in you.

So where are you going? Why do you have to exhaust yourself to find a place worth living when you have a life with Me that will make your life truly worth living? For there is nothing that you cannot overcome for you are with Me and I will never leave you nor forsake you. So what are you waiting for? Why not surrender everything to me? What are you afraid of? I’m just waiting for you to open your heart and soul for Me. Give all your strength to the One who created you. Since the beginning I have loved you with an everlasting love for I look at you as my treasured possession. No matter how many times you failed, you will never lose your value.

My word says, “Now, if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations. You will be my treasured possession all the whole earth is mine”. (Exodus 19:5)

God made me realized that He owns the whole earth and He look at us as His treasured possession. When we believe on His promises and read His words in the Bible we get to see and discover our value. When we learn how God love us we also get to love the things that He cares about. We get closer to His purpose and find our destiny in Christ.

God also reminded me in His words in John 15:16, “You did not choose me but I chose you to go and bear fruit – fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my Name. This is my command, Love each other.”

I then ask God, of all people why me?...What made you decide to choose me? But God is like telling me you are thinking by the standards of man but I am God and I am looking inside the hearts of man. My heart melts in His love. What a privilege to be chosen, forgiven and redeemed by our Holy God. He wants me to go and bear fruit. So again, I looked at my life to see if I have already taken that step to go or I’ve been staying in my comfort zone for so long when all the while God is telling me to, “GO and BEAR FRUIT- Fruit that will last”, which means taking action, devoting myself in doing the will of God and the fruit of my labor should be something that will last forever. So when we obey the will of God we can easily come to Him and He will give us whatever we ask in His Name. God also make it a point that there is one command that will never die and will last forever and that is to Love each other.

LOVE EACH OTHER.

Do we really want to know if we are following God’s will? Then let’s ask ourselves, “do we really love each other?” or do we just ignore God’s command for a long time? When our heart is full of hate, anger and bitterness for others then we need to pause and ask God’s help because no matter how much we know God’s word but if our heart doesn’t pleases God then we are just deceiving not only ourselves but more importantly, God. Instead of loving others, we keep biting each other, instead of blessing others, were cursing each other, instead of mercy and compassion to forgive because God has forgiven us, we’re raging war with hate in our hearts. So what do we have to do? God is dealing with our hearts and He wants us to pray to Him and ask His amazing grace to love others completely just like how He accepted, forgave and loved us completely. Love that is endless, love without conditions, love that does not count the sins that you have made, love that makes you feel that you are valuable. For God “SO LOVED” the world that “HE GAVE” His “ONE and ONLY SON, that “WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM” shall not perish but HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. This is the love of God and knowing that someone gave up His life for us to live an eternal life with Him then we will be able to realize that our life is our offering to God. For all the things that He has done, what can we give back to God? How do we show our gratitude to our ever living God? Are we going to waste our time and energy to things that are not helpful, to things that grieve the spirit, to things that make us far away from the presence of God? Where are we now in our walk?

It’s about time to rest in God’s presence, to let the passion for God be awaken again and to let the light of God shines upon us.

Let us pray . . .

Father, Son & Holy Spirit, I’m praying that we will be able to use everything that You have entrusted faithfully in accordance to Your Word. Help us to use our time, our talents and our treasures to bless others. Our time is in Your Hands, make us Your servants of Your unfailing love.

To those people who are reading this, let me encourage you . . .

God wants us to know that our life is not our own, we belong to the King of all Kings, to the Lord of all Lords and we are about to enter to the Kingdom that cannot be shaken. A Kingdom where love resides, where acceptance can be fully experienced, where the peace of God is everything we will ever need and where the light has come to give light into the world.

If some of you felt that your life is worthless, let me encourage you . . .

You are God’s light and you are about to shine because that light comes from God. Be reminded and be assured that no one can ever stop God’s great purpose for your life but you’ve got to choose. God gave you free will to choose what is right or what is wrong, the test is in front of you and the way you handle the test that God presents for you to overcome will reveal your character, your motives, your intentions and your priorities.

This is what I have come realized that when we succeed and passed the test we can share the valid testimony that truly God is at work in our life but when we fail to pass the test, God will see those who are His. It’s not about how much we know but its more about placing our trust to God, applying what we have learned from Him and putting everything into action.

And if God is really at work in our life we can firmly believe and say within our heart, “With God, all things are possible”.
