What Truly Matters . . .

It’s not about the fame, it’s not about the power, it’s not about the material possessions, it’s not about success but it’s all about the heart to give, the heart to let go of the things you love in order to provide for the needs of others, it’s all about the choice of deciding what’s best for others instead of choosing what’s best for yourself. It’s not about the hunger to get ahead but it’s all about that desire to know and honor God, His ways and His great plans for His kingdom.
Matthew 6:33 says, “Seek ye the first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you”.
I’ve come to realized that every decision we make in life matters not only to the people around us but more importantly, it matters to God. It matters to God when we don’t listen to Him and just wait for something great to happen in our life and the world around us. God is allowing us to make decisions and to take action that would prove beneficial for the needy, for the weak, for the lost and for the hopeless so the power of God and His unfailing love be seen and manifested in us which will result for thanksgiving and praise to our magnificent Creator. God is calling us to take a step of faith towards the goal of serving others just like what Christ did in order to save us from our sins.
The Bible says in Mark 10:45
“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
In my case, I don’t know how I can make these things happen, what I only know is that I have a Father who is more than willing to provide for the resources that I need in order to advance His Kingdom. Like everyone else, I’m also facing a lot of difficulties and disappointments and at the same time there are too many distractions that hinders me from becoming what God has planned for my destiny but I also believe that if we will just surrender everything; our past mistakes, our failures, our brokenness, God will reveal Himself to us. When we find time to take some selfie photos in Facebook and check the status of others, we can also find the time to pray to God, meditate His words in the Bible and praise Him through the actions we take in our everyday life.
My greater hope is that God will touch our hearts to live each moment for the things that truly matters.
